There are 6 lakes on Fond du Lac Reservation that we have no data on. We don’t really know if fish from these lakes are safe for human consumption. My plan is to measure the temperature, dissolved oxygen, pH, conductivity, and turbidity of these lakes. These parameters tell you a lot about the water quality of the lake. However, if there is any subtle change in the lake like the spill of a hazardous chemical in the lake, these parameters may not change significantly. That is why I am going to emphasize on the zooplankton community, because they are good indicators of subtle alterations in water quality.
